I believe that as a society we should not squander resources and trash the environment for future people. We must strive to live in a way that allows future generations to live sustainable, prospersous, and healthy lives.
I believe that people have the right to affordable housing. The old ways of urban sprawl will not serve cities in the future. We need to build dynamic, vibrant, walkable communties on a human scale.
Thank you to the many citizens who answered my request for letters about the Natural Environment. These letters contained thoughtful insights into the feelings of the community regarding this important asset. The natural environment in Pinawa is one of our greatest assets. Public parks, greenspaces, and reserves enhance the town environment, and improve the people’s well-being. They provide space for recreation and physical activity, improve our mood and mental health, and increase land value. However, without proper management, these vital areas are being threatened.
